MUSTS These requirements are a must have. Think of them as very high priority requirements for your project. They must be part of the final solution in order for that solution to be considered successful.

SHOULDS These requirements are also high-priority requirements, and are every bit as important as the requirements in the must category. However, there might be workarounds that satisfy these requirements or they may not be as time critical.

COULDS These desirable requirements are of lesser priority and are nice to have capabilities in the solution. They really don’t affect anything else in the solution one way or the other and will be included if time and resources permit.

WONTS These may be considered for future inclusion or be omitted from the solution altogether.

Food for thought Which priorities from the Musts and Shoulds would you like to achieve? Now, give your project a title. E.g. IEEE GOLD Webinars Describe the project at a high level. That is, provide a brief synopsis.

Food for thought (2) What sort of resources would you need? For example, time, money, xxx. What sort of member satisfaction would be realized by completing this project? Think about how you can benefit individual members from executing this project.
