2 PROGRESS ON INSTITUTIONAL REVIEW AND RE-ALIGNMENT
Proposed Organizational Structure (3 tiers) consulted with the DPSA on 21/04/2011 and 05/ , respectively Minister for Department of Communications has in principle approved the proposed organizational structure on 07 June 2011 Proposed organizational structure submitted to MPSA for concurrence The DoC is currently developing job profiles for all newly created and redesigned SMS positions before being subjected to job evaluation. 8 DDG positions have been subjected to job evaluation in conjunction with DPSA

13 WAYFORWARD The Department is putting together a migration process that will guide with the migration of employees to the new structure National Treasury will be approached for budget Programme structure as well as for additional funding. Comprehensive skills audit will be conducted immediately The staff who are currently in excess will be absorbed in the new structure Critical posts that are funded will be identified, prioritised immediately and advertised. All the other post will be filled in phases, priority list will be determine.
