4 Graph Analysis As we can all see, this graph isn’t very updated as it goes from 1999 to 2008, but the analysis can be done anyways. In 2008 there were 12,640,000 million people in Cancun’s airport traffic and this was the maximum.. We can see that tourism has been growing for 3 consecutive years and has been growing also in a large scale of growth. The year with the least tourists in Cancun was 1999, with 6,970,000 people.

5 Human Attractions On the top, there are the Tulum Ruins and at the bottom there is the Castello Chichen Itza.

10 Cons of tourism This large-scale growth of coastal tourism and vacation developments increases pressure on fragile ecosystems. Water pollution has been one of the main impacts of tourism. Hotel industry generates about 95% of total sewage water. which is much more than the capacity of treatment plants operating in the city . Tourism industry generates large amounts of solid waste that has many impacts on the environment. The poor water quality has threatened the aquatic ecosystem

11 Pros of Tourism Attracts foreign investments.
Improves the country’s economy. Makes the government invest in the infrastructure. More jobs being created for the local population results in a higher standard of living. Number of economic sectors increasing from primary sectors to services and industries.
