2. Student Identity Workgroup
In December 2016 AACRAO Members who were appointed to the committee include:

3. Workgroup Scope
This workgroup will develop guidance for AACRAO members and their institutions on serving transgender students and students who wish to update their gender marker, change their legal name, use a preferred name, or designate a pronoun. In addition the Work Group will develop guidance on appropriate methods of collecting, recording, and reporting of name and gender identity in student record systems.

Scope:
Understanding the relevant domains across the landscape of Higher Education related to gender identity and LGBTQ enrollment services
Where are the challenges within these domains
What are the best practices regarding policies and procedures for these domains across the landscape of Higher Education

Scope:

7. ERP and SIS Implications
Scope:
Who are the major ERP’s and how do they accommodate gender identity and LGBTQ enrollment services
What are the challenges facing ERP’S and SIS in accommodating these services
What are the best practices for ERP’s and SIS  in accommodating gender identity and LGBTQ enrollment services across the landscape of Higher Education

8. Progress Reported progress at the Annual Meeting in Minnesota
Met with EDUCAUSE to partner/collaborate on student identity issues: ERP vs. Smaller Systems
Created definitions within an input output model graphic designation to understand the break point along the continuum related to student identity
Visual model developed
Drafting final 60 second survey to be sent in July/August for the following subcommittees:

9. On Going
Continue meeting in accordance to workgroup deliverables schedule.
Schedule includes information dissemination to entire AACRAO constituency via annual meetings presentations, webinars and AACRAO connect.
Draft recommendations for the board related to the core subcommittee groups
Final recommendations/report to the board 11/29/17
