1 Software Defined Storage
Windows Server Software Defined Storage WorkshopPLUS Overview Target Audience: This course is a deep dive into Software Defined Storage focused on newest Windows Server technologies. It is targeted to IT System Administrators who have good knowledge of Windows Server and basic knowledge of PowerShell. The Windows Server Software Defined Storage workshop provides attendees with the deep knowledge and understanding of the Storage stack in Windows Server Through presentations, white-board discussions, and goal-based labs, this 3 to 4-day workshop covers deployment options, deployment itself and deep dives into the key areas, such as clustering, networking and troubleshooting. Key Features and Benefits The workshop is developed with DevOps mindset, focusing on best practices during all phases of implementation and maintaining the Software Defined Storage solution. The participants will learn how to build their own lab environment and will walkthrough step by step deployment and automation. Technical Highlights After completing this course, you will be able to: Understand the Software Defined Storage requirements, planning and architecting the solution Understand how to deploy Software Defined Storage solution Understand key components (Storage Spaces, Clustering, Networking) Understand how to maintain and troubleshoot the SDS Solution Build your own lab environment for SDS simulations. Version 1.0

2 Syllabus Hosted/Onsite labs Requirements:
Computer running Windows Server 2016 RTM with enabled Hyper-V, 100 GB free space on SSD and 16GB RAM. At least an evaluation copy of Microsoft Office . Hardware Requirements: 4Core, SLAT enabled CPU. SSD with 100GB free space. At least 16GB Memory. Internet connection. This workshop runs for 3 to 4 full days depending on customer availability and requirements. Students should anticipate consistent start and end times for each day. Early departure on any day is not recommended.
