3 Sources of Information (by level)
Information about courses and modules at each level of study is contained within a general area (either a Blackboard site or Webfolio) You must access the Blackboard site / Webfolio on a regular basis. Key announcements will be posted which could affect you Practice Development Webfolio: Management and Leadership Blackboard site Course Information Points (CIP) at each campus

4 How we keep in touch with you
By announcements on module Blackboard sites – if about an individual module By announcements on the Framework webfolio or the course Blackboard site (where this exists) By to your University Account (not personal s). You can set up your Uni to automatically forward messages to your personal , please do this ASAP

5 Timetables Timetables are organised by level of study and are available on the Webfolio. The timetable gives an overview of all modules scheduled to run in an academic year For room allocations, you need to check your module Blackboard site or the University Web timetable, accessed via the student page of the university website

6 Modules Each module has its own module leader.
Information on how to contact them can be found on the relevant module blackboard site, if unsure, please ask. The module descriptor form (MDF) provides an outline of the module contents, assessment task and the name of the module leader. MDFs are located within the webfolio.

7 Registering for a Module
You register for each module yourself, this should be done before the end of the preceding semester. NHS funded students apply via Other students complete a module registration form (either off Blackboard/Webfolio or in response to an / announcement from the university) and return to the Course Information Point (CIP) at your place of study

8 Personal Academic Development Record (PADR)
If you are studying a programme (not a single module) this is a useful source of information. It is located within the Webfolio and is a record of your progress through your course of study.

9 Learning Plan Completed with aid of Personal tutor.
Electronic copy of approved form sent to administrator within 8 weeks of starting module / course Accessed via the webfolio Reviewed on an annual basis

10 Personal Tutor (PT) Personal Tutors are allocated to all students on programmes of study. For students doing single modules, their module leader will take on the parts of this role that are required For general info on the PT system, go to the PADR area of the Webfolio For info on your PT allocation, go to the Programme area of the Webfolio

11 Module Guides Important documents that tell you all you need to know about your module, plus links to academic regulations and University of Cumbria procedures (including how to submit assignments and rules around extensions / extenuating circumstances etc) Prepared by the module leader they are accessed via the module Blackboard area

12 Programme Handbooks Including a Programme Specification, these are important documents relating to your programme of study. Located within the Webfolio
