Things you learned about: Introduction, Conclusion, Title Effective Narrative Articles Show, Don’t Just Tell Sensory Details, Dialogue, Transitions

2 Narrative Article Prompt
Situation: The school newspaper wants to hear from students who had a wonderful Winter Break. Writing Task: Write an article telling about why your Winter Break was great. Maybe you took a trip to somewhere or got a Christmas gift you really wanted. Be sure to explain what all happened that made it such an awesome time and why it was special to you.

3 You will need to turn in ALL of these items!
Expectations I expect to see: W.W.F. & Quick write “Write to the Point” planner Rough Draft (Title, *Intro, Body, *Conclusion) ALL parts following the On-Demand Checklist for Narrative. Evidence that you Proofread and Edited your rough draft (i.e. COPS). Final Draft You will need to turn in ALL of these items!

4 The time when my teacher made a difference in my life.
Learning a new math problem Didn’t understand how to solve it. My teacher could tell I was extremely frustrated but wouldn’t ask for help. She came over and worked with me. She explained how to do it and worked with me until I understood how to do them. I always remembered how to solve them. I will never forget the time she made a difference in my life.

W – a time when a teacher made a difference in your life. F – article Quick write: When I was in 4th grade and my teacher knew I was frustrated with math. She sat me down and worked with me until I understood how to do the problems correctly.
