Return library books Thursday!
Our annual “Cops Care” Food drive will begin on Monday, February 27 and end on Friday, March 24.    As usual, the class from each school that brings in the most non-perishable/ non-expired food items will receive a pizza party from the police department.  Thank you!
Lego in school field trip money and permission slip are due March 21.
What we’re working on…
Language Arts: The students will learn how to use graphic aids, such as diagrams, as they read the non-fiction Storytown selection titled The Bee.
Spelling: This week’s words will focus on the /oo/ sound spelled /ue/, /ew/, /ou/,/ui/ (as in smooth).
Grammar/writing: The students will learn how to correctly use past tense verbs. They will also write an informational paragraph about bees.
Math: Unit 8 topics this week include analyzing and forming polygons, and the attributes of quadrilaterals.
Social Studies: We’ll continue the study of maps, our Earth, and landforms.
