OpenWIS steering committee decide on the software policy

OpenWIS® Founders: limited to initial 5 organizations
OpenWIS® Strategic Partners: NMS or public organizations
OpenWIS® Associate Partners: NMS or public organizations
OpenWIS® User Members: any NMS or public organization using OpenWIS in its operational suite.

In addition, individuals or organisations may contribute to the development of OpenWIS®.

Steering Committee vote on software evolutions, and manage the software management team
The Software management team will be a compact team of experts in charge of software integration, preparation of new releases, etc.
Software contributors will contribute to OpenWIS main line only after approval from Steering Committee; they can originate from OpenWIS Founders or from any contributing member
Support services on OpenWIS software may be rendered by a wider community, including OpenWIS software management team and software contributors
