9. Association Board Stands
Per our bylaws:
In the event that a matter arises and is scheduled for decision by any governmental body (or agency thereof) before there is sufficient time to follow the procedures set forth in paragraph 6, above, then by a vote of a super-majority (meaning six (6) of the eight (8) presently serving Board Members, or three-fourths (3/4) of any future Board), may form and express a public stand on behalf of the Confederation.

10. Stands Taken Over the Summer
SB 2664 – The Confederation opposed the bill as passed by the legislature and we reached out to Governor Quinn urging a veto of legislation that, if adopted, could limit condo association cost recoveries in bankruptcy.
Governor Quinn agreed with this position and issued an amendatory veto.

11. Stands Taken Over the Summer
U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) introduced H.R. 4969, legislation that may invalidate community association rules and architectural standards that govern the installation and use of amateur radio towers and antennas.
Following the lead of CAI, the Confederation reached out to Congressmen Foster and Roskam and urged that they not support this proposal.

13. October 1 Candidate Forum
Who: Republican and Democratic Party Candidates for the 41st, 81st, and 84th Illinois House Districts.
When: Wednesday, October 1, 7:00 – 8:30 PM
Where: City Council Chambers of the Naperville Municipal Center
Broadcast “live” over WCNC (Channel 6 WOW, Channel 10 Comcast, and Channel 99 AT&T) and streamed both live and on demand via the City of Naperville website,  

14. Water Street Returns to P&Z
When – Wednesday, September 24th
What:
Reduce the area of the Plaza/Boardwalk from 8,679 square feet to 8,292 square feet. In conjunction with this reduction, the footprint of the Theatre building will be expanded.
Incorporate a banquet space and two conference rooms consisting of approximately 8,700 square feet with a total capacity of 250 people on the second floor of the Loggia Building.

15. Modify the design of the pedestrian bridge, including decreased width and revised elevations\

16. Increase the total square footage allowable for restaurant use by 1200 sq ft
Increase the height of the Loggia, Theatre, and Hotel Buildings (mechanicals bigger than originally anticipated requiring higher screening walls)
Allow for a general service use (Traveling Tots) on the first floor of the hotel building
Parking??? – Based on conservative assumptions and the use of valet at peak events …
