2. Title I
Title I is the nation’s largest federal program for schools.

3. More about Title I
The goal of Title I is to assist every child in getting a high-quality education.
It provides millions of children with the help they need to be successful in school.

4. How does Title I work?
The federal government provides funding to our state. Each state must submit an educational plan.
The WV Dept. of Education sends money to Mason Co. based on the number of families below a set income level.

5. How does Title I work?
The Mason Co. Board of Education identifies eligible schools and distributes Title I resources.
Leon Elementary works to identify students in need of help, sets goals for improvement, develops instructional programs, and involves parents in the program.
