Under KBAD, opportunities have been created for the marginalized and vulnerable youths to attend professional degree at IUBAT with financial assistances in various forms including deferred payment of part of the fees. Some of these skilled graduates are providing intellectual leadership to rural communities to create economical and social prosperity on a sustainable basis guided by the university. This case study shows three cases, one on integrated rural development and one on community development, the other on maternal health, illustrate achievement in sustainable rural development.

Unique Features of KBAD:
It is recognized as UN Flagship Project in 8th RCE meeting in 2013;
A student can complete four years graduation without service charge which will be added afterwards;
It opens doors to higher education to all level of society that ultimately brings social equity;
It initiates a Knowledge Based Society by access of marketable skills and higher education to the all nationwide rural communities;
Around 17% of the student body of 13,000+ avail the facility of financial assistance while 16.64% received 100% tuition fee waiver scholarships;
Nearly 40% of the financial assistance recipients have completed their studies, while 35% are continuing their studies at IUBAT.

Establishment of an Education Bank in the nation to give loan to the marginalized students
As a UN Flagship Project the organization is welcoming Donation and support to increase fund to support whole Bangladesh under KBAD
Producing one graduates from Every villages in Bangladesh, there are 87,963 villages in the country.

22. Safe Motherhood Program
Saad Safe Motherhood Program (SSMP) is an effective health campaign started from January 2014 for the detection of cervix cancer among rural women; 45 persons of three villages undergo medical diagnosis and awareness building program each month, is carried out under the leadership of one of the nursing graduates of IUBAT.
