5 T/P/S How does Katniss “come of age” in these clips (and the first Hunger Games)? Think about what “coming of age” means How does Katniss transform in the book/movie

6 T/P/S In your journal: Write a working definition for “coming of age”
Write a sentence or two explaining how Katniss “comes of age” in the first book/movie

7 In Your Journal: Brainstorm a list of books, movies, tv shows and characters who “come of age.” Choose one item from your brainstorm list and explain it. Write a paragraph. Introduce the character and story and explain how the character “comes of age”

9 Lit Circles Ms. B. Read-aloud from each of the choices
Take out a ½ sheet of notebook paper (share with your table mate!!) Write your name on your paper. Jot down the title and some notes – anything that comes to mind – as I read aloud from the text! Write a 1,2,3,4 next to the titles – in order of which you would prefer to read 

Every one has a voice Everyone has a style Voice can change, and depend on the situation, like style! In your journal: Label lines 1-6 For each picture, identify AT LEAST 2 “things”! Focus on commenting on the style!
