2 Technologie Membrane switch is closed
After closing the foil switch the aluminium and graphite electrode are short circuited. Result: The aluminium electrode dissolves with a sharp front: Window will open. Membrane switch is closed

3 Electronic expiry date
OPEN-Monitor (just time based) Proof of opening date and opening time of a product (e.g. milk) Tamper protection Better assessment of the durability of perniciously food Electronic Expiry Date (will open based on time AND temperature) If the cooling chain is interrupted and the product is exposed too high temperatures, the foreseen expiry date of a product is reduced. Currently, a printed expiry date is just an approximate value which does not consider the temperature to which the specific product is exposed to during its lifecycle. The new expiry date technology will vary according to the temperature the product is exposed to and will provide the customer with the exact information about the durability of the respective product.

Thermograph A further application example is the thermograph nanofilm processor in the form of a foil tag. The thermograph continually meters the temperature over a specific period and provides detailed information at what exact time the requested temperature was not observed. Typical applications of the thermograph nanofilm processor are general tasks of temperature monitoring e. g. in the pharmaceutical or food industry. Approximately available in 2017.

9 The radio frequency identification (RFID)
Future Outlook The radio frequency identification (RFID) Reading device: The dates are registered on the affixed smart label through tochless pin Different RFID transponders TheRFID-system consists of two technological components: Reading device and transponder The transponder comprises an electronic microship as well as an antenna for sending and receiving of radio wave. The reading device has a sender, a receiver and an antenna. The reading device is the interface between software and data storage on the transponder on which the information is saved and from which the information can be retrieved.

Future Outlook Radio-Frequency-Identifikation (RFID) as instrument in the food industry Continuous control of the cooling chain: PolyTaksys armed with RFID is able to record the process of the transport temperature (winner innovation award – IT 2012) Data can be read via reading device and be transferred to a computer. Advantages: Simple affixing of the smart chip e. g. on a pallet Gapless review and documentation of the transport temperature Guarantee of a reliable temperature-based transport Improvement of quality management

The individual development and programming of PolyTaksys with regards to your needs as well as the attachment of PolyTaksys to your packing takes some time and has to be considered in your product planning.
