1 Contract Compliance: Contract Terms Tool Overview
Access the Contract Terms Tool Contract terms are always stored in a contract workspace (procurement). To access the terms, either open an existing contract workspace or create a new one. For more information, see the QRG titled Create and Publish a Contract Workspace. Open the contract workspace and click the Documents tab. Click SCC-PricingTerms and select Open. On the Provide mandatory data screen, complete any missing required fields. Note: Required fields are marked with an asterisk. Click OK. 1 2 4 1 3 2 3 4 Page 1 Get Help –

Complete the Definitions Screen Optional: Use the Physical Location and Related Contract ID to reference an existing paper contract. In the Contact field, select the contract owner. In the Contract Type field, select the pricing model. For more information, see the QRG titled Set Pricing Terms. In the Is Blanket Purchase Order, select Yes to share the maximum limit and accumulated spend with the supplier. Otherwise, select No. In the Release Required field, select Yes. Complete the Limits Screen Optional: Set minimum and maximum limits at the contract level or release level. Minimum Commitment: Set the minimum amount SCC must spend to qualify for the contract pricing. Maximum Limit: Set the maximum amount SCC can spend against the contract. Tolerance: Set the allowable amount over the limit. Hard vs. Soft Limit: Hard limits block any orders over the limit. Soft limits notify the contract owner of orders outside the limit and may require additional approval for those orders. Complete the Limits Screen (continued) Release Limits: Set the minimum or maximum amount allowed on a single order. Hard vs. Soft Limit: Hard limits block any orders over the limit. Soft limits notify the contract owner of any orders outside the limit and may require additional approval for those orders. Tolerance: Set the allowable amount over the limit. Complete the Limits Screen (continued) Expiration Date Notification and Notification List: (Optional) You will usually set the expiration date notification schedule at the contract workspace level instead. Preload Amount: If spend has accumulated against the contract before it was entered into Ariba, type that amount in the Preload Amount field. Forecasted Spend: You can use this tool to forecast spend over the life of the contract. Note: This tool has no effect on the behavior of the contract. Set the Pricing Terms Use this screen to add items to the contract and to set discounts, tiered pricing, and/or commodity or item-based limits. Note: This screen varies depending on the Contract Type: supplier, commodity, category or item level. For more information, see the QRG titled Set Pricing Terms. Complete the Pricing Terms. Complete the Milestones Screen Optional: Set and track milestones for internal reference. Click Add items. Give the milestone a Title. In the Full Description field, describe completion. Set a Completion Due Date. Designate a Supplier Contact who is responsible for the milestone. In the Verifier field, select an SCC employee to confirm the milestone. Complete the Access Control Screen Optional: Restrict which groups can order the contract’s items from the P2P catalog. To restrict access, click the checkbox next to Restrict Release Access. Choose whether to restrict access by user Name, Group, Supervisor, Cost Center or Project/WBS. Click select to choose the SCC users or groups who can access the contract’s items. Bypass the Payment Terms Screen The supplier’s payment terms are set on their supplier record. Do not update them in Ariba Contract Compliance. Click Next. 1 1 Page 9 Get Help –

Complete the Appendixes Screen Optional: Add documents that will be sent to the supplier with each transaction. Click Add Appendix. Click Browse… to select the document. In the Appendix Description field, describe the document. To associate the document with a specific item or commodity, click the checkbox next to that item or commodity. Review the Summary Screen and Save The first step to completing the contract terms is to save them. After that, you must publish the contract workspace to connect the terms to the P2P catalog. For more information, see the QRG titled Create and Publish a Contract Workpace. Review all the information on the Summary tab and make corrections, if needed. Click the Pricing Terms tab.
