1 Lesson 4 Notes – Graphing in Slope-Intercept Form
- To Graph Lines in Slope-Intercept Form

2 Again: How many points do we need to graph a line? In slope intercept form, what information about the line are we given?

3 Steps to graph: Find/Plot the y-intercept
Starting from the y-int, complete rise over run using the slope of the line to plot the next point(s) Connect with line Label the line with the equation

4 Examples Graph each line: 1. y = 2x y = -½x – 4 3. y = 5/2x – 3

5 U-try Graph the line: 1. y = -5x + 1
