If He can destroy walls - He could have destroyed the people of Jericho Himself.
If His sole purpose was control, or destroy evil, He demonstrated the potential power to do so

He wanted to draw them into a trust relationship with Himself.

That He seeks a relationship with His creation
Because He is God…It must be a relationship based on the true facts.
A very foundational fact – God the “I AM” is.

In the demonstration of God’s power under control, governed by His own will He is showing that He desires a relationship with us

Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

A relationship that accepts human limitations to understand “I am”
A relationship that does not cave into the human desire to fully explain Him or Justify His actions
