4 La Musica La musica is very important to Hispanic culture. There are many different types of music. It can be quite different depending on the country or even the type of dance that coincides with the music. We are going to talk about Music in this class from time to time.

5 Many famous artists sing in Spanish
In the late 90s and Early 2000s many famous American Pop Stars began to start singing in Spanish and joining what they called the “Latin Explosion” g/15/entertainment/ca-gurza15

6 Famous Artists With the success of Spanish singers like Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias, pop singers like 98 degrees, Jessica Simpson, and Christina Aguilera recorded songs either entirely in Spanish or at least partly in Spanish. Today, some artists still do this to reach out to their fans who are native Spanish speakers.

8 Selena Many singers paved the way for the “Latin Explosion”. One major contributor to this movement was Selena Quintanilla. Selena was from Corpus Christi, Texas. Although she lived in the USA, her career began in Mexico. Her first language was actually English, she learned Spanish in order to sing. arMeA
