3. 8:46 am: American Airlines flight 11 flies into the North tower of the World Trade Center
9:03 am: United Airlines Flight 175 flies into the South tower of the World Trade Center
Flight 11 bound for Los Angeles, CA (76 passengers, 11 crew members, 5 hijackers). Hits floor 93-99, killing everyone on board and hundreds in the building. Severed all 3 emergency stairwells, making evacuation impossible for those on or above the impact floors.
Flight 175 bound for LA as well (51 passengers, 9 crew member, 5 hijackers). Hits floors 77-85, killing everyone on board and hundreds inside the building. Only one emergency stairwell remains passable, but has a lot of debris. 18 use it to evacuate from above impact zone.

4. 9:37 am: American Airlines Flight 77 flies into The United States Pentagon. The Pentagon is the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense, located in Arlington County, Virginia. It is seen as a symbol of the U.S. military.

Flight 77 bound for LA (53 passengers, 6 crew members, 5 hijackers). Killed 59 people on board and 125 military and civilian personnel inside severely injured in fire.

5. 10:03 am: United Airlines Flight 93 crashes in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
Flight 93 left from Newark International Airport. At least 6 people learn about the attacks on the WTC and Pentagon. Flight 93’s passengers are believed to have collectively voted to mount a counterattack to the hijackers. Made into a movie. Hijackers deliberately crash into a field, killing 40 on board. It is 20 min away from Washington, DC.

6. 9:59 am: The South tower of the World Trade Center collapses.
10:28 am: The North tower of the World Trade Center collapses.

North Tower collapses, killing ~1400 in building and surrounding area.
