5 Season Information Season Begins Monday, October 16th
Practice 5 days a Week (FCHS Swim and Junior Bulldogs) Meets occur either Friday night or Saturday. Please see the schedule on the website for specific dates . State is February Georgia Tech Aquatic Center Practices will be held over holidays breaks Monday-Wednesday of Thanksgiving Break Holiday practice schedules will be sent out as soon as possible prior to the holiday break.

6 FCHS Swim Practice Info & Schedule
Monday and Wednesday 4-5:45pm *Dryland *Transportation provided from school (drop off only) Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 6-7:25am *No transportation provided. If you need to work a carpool situation, reach out to the Booster Club and we will do an ‘all call’ to help. Items to Bring: Recommended equipment , CAP, GOGGLES, extra t-shirt, old sneakers, towel, WATER BOTTLE *PLEASE ARRIVE ON TIME TO PICK UP YOUR ATHLETE.*

7 FCHS Diving Practice Info and Schedule
Tuesday and Friday mornings 6am-7:30am We are working on open board time at night (most likely Wednesdays) as well as dryland trampoline training Athletes are expected to show up prior to 6am to begin stretching and be ready for entry at 6am Athletes are expected to check in with Coach Bell for school based information Dive Camp : October 10th and 13th 6am-7:30am It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT that all divers interested in the 17/18 season attend camp.

8 Junior Bulldogs Practice Info and Schedule
We are still awaiting practice lane confirmation from CAC… Monday through Friday TENTATIVELY 6:10-7:10 am Dryland is a possibility for some days depending on lane availability . You are responsible for your own transportation to school after practice. Carpools are possible, but will need to be coordinated among parents . Items to Bring: Recommended equipment , CAP, GOGGLES, extra t-shirt, old sneakers, towel, WATER BOTTLE

9 Athlete Expectations At the start of the season, each athlete will be required to read our team handbook. They must sign that they have read and understand the expectations set forth for our program. The handbook will be uploaded to the website and by the end of the first week, ALL athletes will have to sign that they and their parents have read over the information. * This year you will have a hard copy to keep. 10 Parent Expectations VOLUNTEER !!!
Be a spectator at the meets (Who doesn’t love a good crowd?) Hold your athlete accountable Support the team in fundraising Support the team in food Promote a positive and supportive environment for your athlete Promote a healthy diet MAKE THEM GET OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING!

11 Transportation Transportation will be provided to EVERY meet outside of the county and all athletes are required to ride. Transportation will be provided for meets that will occur after school. Transportation will be provided M/W for afternoon practice as a drop off (FCHS only). NO students may ride together in cars (FCSS policy)

12 Attendance Athletes are expected to be at every practice as is scheduled. Attendance does effect lettering – this will be outlined in the handbook Special circumstances will be addressed directly with Coach Bell Absences from practice must be directly communicated to Coach Bell … NOT through another swimmer Meet Attendance: Required. Failure to show up at a meet can result in immediate dismissal from the team Ample notice must be given to Coach Bell if you are not able to attend the meet This is outlined in the handbook Club Swimmers will be asked to attend at times to work relay starts with their teammates. Weekly attendance sheets can be found on the team website. They must be turned in to the coaches after the completion of a week.

13 Swim and Dive Meets We are still adding in swim and dive meets!
Key Swim Meets: December 9th – Holiday Splash Invitational January 13th–Winter Classic Invitational January 2oth – Forsyth County Championships * Senior Night* Travel Meet – Weekend of December 16th

14 Volunteers A volunteer coordinator will be in contact with you about signing up for meet volunteer We will co-host two meets this season and will need ‘all hands on deck’ All parents are required to volunteer at 3 meets Volunteering also includes food donations Hosting team gathering … Bonfire!! (Holiday parties ,etc. )

15 Booster Fees Swim Only – $475 Junior Bulldogs - $275 Dive Only – $375
Swim and Dive - $525 Manager - $200 Registration BY OCTOBER 6TH in order to get swim caps and towels with names Fees are due in full by October 20. Swim-a-thon fundraiser can contribute toward fees.

16 Fundraisers 1) FCHS Discount Cards – Athletic Department Fundraiser Cards 50% to the Athletic Department , 45% to swim team! ALL TEAM MEMBERS are required to sell 5 cards ($10 a piece) 2) FCHS Car Wash on September 9 at O’Reilly’s – donations accepted 3) JRBUL Raffle at carwash and Swim and Dive-a-thon On October 29th , we will run a swim/dive-a-thon at the CAC from 2:30 to 5:30pm. We are asking all athletes to participate. Co-hosted Meets – We cohost with West Forsyth

17 Team Gear All athletes will be required to wear FCHS gear at each meet. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will be required to show up in uniform. *Look the part/Act the part!!* Competition suit is REQUIRED. Competition suit is NOT allowed at practice. Please purchase a different suit for practice purposes. Caps and goggles are required for practice and competition FCHS or JRBUL SWIM TEAM CAP is required for competition *FCHS Custom Suits - Agon *All American Swim - JRBUL Swim Suits * A-Team– Team Gear/Spirit Wear

20 Prior to October 16th… Physical needs to be turned in ASAP (FCHS). This goes to Mrs. Hamilton in the administration office. ATTEND THE MANDATORY REGISTRATION MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 13TH or 21st * We ask diving to attend the 13th to meet Coach Angie Along with the physical, PLEASE TURN IN your concussion form and transportation forms. Turn in your FCHS Sports Medicine Emergency Information to Coach Bell. Weight Training Water Time Dryland
