Character Ethic in Personal change It is principle centered, character based, inside-out approach to personal and interpersonal effectiveness. Inside-out means to start first with self, even more 4fundamentally, to start with the most inside part of self- with your paradigms, your character, and your motive.The inside-out approach says that private victories precedespublic victories, that making and keeping promises toourselves precedes making and keeping promises to others. Itsays it is futile to put personality ahead of character, to try toimprove relationships with others before improving ourselves.

Habit 1 :be proactive Habit 2 Begin with the end in mind Habits for private victory Habit 3: Put first thing first Principles of personal vision Principles of personal management Principles of personal leadership Self-masetry To make the choice to became interdependent, one first must be independent, since dependent people have not yet developed the character of interdependence. Therefore, the first three habits focus on self-masetery. This is achieving the private victory to move from dependence to independence. Changes starts from whiin, and highly effectuve people make the decision to improve their lives through the things tthat they can influence rather than by simply reacting to external forces Develop a principle-centred personal statement . Extend the mission to leng-term goal based on personal principles Spend time on what fit your personal statemnt . Identify the key role that you take on in life, and make time fro each of them.

Circle of influence & Circle of concern:-Excellent way to become more self aware regarding our own degree of pro-activity is to look at where we focus our time &energy. Circle of Concern: Identify those concern on which you don’t have any influence & minimise this circle of concern Circle of Influence :Increase this circle of influence to increase your pro activity. Highly Proactive people focus their efforts on circle of influence.

What is “the end” for you? What do you hope to be doing ten years from now? Twenty? Make a list of things you want to do in your life.

22 Before you figure out the “end”, you have to take a look at who YOU are! Draw a picture of something that represents you. It could be an animal, plant, machine, a food, etc. Explain why you chose what you did.

26 Sometimes not being brave gets in the way of doing things that are important to you. Putting first things first might means putting aside your fears to reach your goal. Has fear ever kept you from doing something great or important? Explain.

27 Time Wasters: Brainstorm some things that you do that wastes a lot of your time. Sometimes these things are fun and relaxing. If you do them too much though, they may get in the way of the important things.
