1 Budapest - the Capital City of Hungary
There are three stamps chosen to represent our beautiful Budapest. Lánchíd is the oldest bridge over the river Danube. It was built in the middle of the 19th century. Hungarian State Opera House is a magnificiant new-renaissance style structure completed in 1884 and moduled after the Vienna Opera House.It is home to both the State Opera and the State Ballet. Matthias Church was originally built in Romanesque style in The current building was constructed in Gothic style in the 14th century. You can also see some photos of nice places, buildings and Buda’s castle District.

3 Buda castle For centuries Buda was the scene
of important historical events.It is a castle and palace complex. Nowadays two museums –Budapest History Museum, Hungarian National Gallery-and Hungary’s biggest library can be visited here. Mátyás church is also located in Buda’s Castle District. From the oldest existing text in Hungarian to the latest printed materials are collected here in the National Széchenyi library.

5 Operaház The Hungarian State Opera House was built in neo- Renaissance style in The auditórium holds 1261seats. Ferenc Erkel composer of the Hungarian national anthem was the first music director of the opera house. The richly -decorated building was designed by Ybl Miklós, a major figure of Hungarian architecture of 19th century.

6 Lánchíd It was the first permanent bridge across the Danube in Budapest, and was opened in The bridge has the name of István Széchenyi, a major supporter of its construction, attached to it, but is most commonly known as the Chain Bridge. At the time of its construction, it was regarded as one of the modern world's engineering wonders. The oldest bridge of Budapest is 375 meters long.
