Become an authorized e-file provider Submit Forms 8655 Register additional users

5 Registration Process Employees must register
Responsible officials must associate the employees with the RA application and Delegate the e-Service products to the employees appropriate to their responsibilities

6 Registration Access registration on irs.gov
Go to the Tax Professional page Click on e-Services Click on Registration Services Enter the required personal data Includes Adjusted Gross Income as reported on current or prior year 1040

7 Registration Continued
Receive confirmation letter at home address within 10 days Log into e-Services within 28 days to confirm

8 User Association & Delegation
Principal and responsible officials can delegate authority Associate Click the Delegated Users link on e-file application homepage Input the delegate’s information Authorize Click on the Delegate Authorities link to delegate individual products

9 System Administration
Each company is required to maintain their users and authorizations Delegates can be added or deleted It is your responsibility, not the IRS, to maintain these users and remove their authorization when no longer warranted

15 TIN Matching Pre-filing service for payers of income subject to back-up withholding 1099B, INT, DIV, OID, PATR, and MISC Payers must be listed in IRS Payer Account File (PAF) database Complete TIN Matching Application Must have filed information returns in one of the past two tax years Response will be a pass/fail
