Define the crime of heresy. (6) Heresy was the crime of not following the accepted religion of the state. In Tudor times, following the Reformation that took England from Catholicism to Protestantism, there was a lot of religious change. For example, under Edward VI, England was Protestant but his sister Mary, who took the throne after him, was Catholic. Any person who refused to follow these changes was charged with heresy and could be fined or even executed. In 1536 during the Pilgrimage of Grace, 200 protesters were executed for heresy, including the leader Robert Aske. Identify any strengths of this answer. Identify any weaknesses.
