3 Deliverables – Overall description
CONTENTS CONTENTS Management Information Requirement Analysis Who we are? u Deliverables – Overall description A custom-tailored Web-based system, with your company’s “look and feel”, which can be maintained, at your choice, on our or your own server Two options proposed: OPTION A (simplified system): The system identifies the criticality of the need and an internal respondent to whom the person self-assessing his skills can refer to in order to discuss and decide what improvement measures can be envisaged. OPTION B (fully-fledged system): In addition to identifying the criticality of the need to improve, the system will propose a choice of detailed actions the person self-assessing his skills can choose from to address his individual needs. For each action proposed, the system will also provide access to a fact-sheet documenting in detail what the action proposed entails. This could be a participation in a specific training, proposed as part of an internal or an outsourced program, or any other appropriate measure. The flexibility to start with OPTION A and move at a later stage to OPTION B Objectives u Management Information Requirement Analysis Our expertise u Deliverables (1 of 4) u Management Information Requirement Analysis Issues we address u Prerequisites u Management Information Requirement Analysis Issues we address u Implementation u Management Information Requirement Analysis Benefits to users u Benefits u Management Information Requirement Analysis Business case u Scoping your need u

4 Deliverables – Customization work involved
CONTENTS CONTENTS Management Information Requirement Analysis Who we are? u Deliverables – Customization work involved Customization work common to OPTIONS A and B, involves 5 important tasks: TASK N°1: Understand the overall activity, mission and objectives of the organization, its values and the prevailing corporate climate. TASK N°2: Agree the various populations included in the scope of the project, understand their tasks and the skills required to perform them efficiently. TASK N°3: Agree the scope of categories and detailed skills the self-assessment questionnaires should cover. TASK N°4: Develop - based on the 3 previous tasks - a proposed questionnaire for each population and get it approved. TASK N°5: Agree rules for assessing the criticality of training and reinforcement needs identified as a result of responding to the questionnaires. OPTION A will involve in addition, designating who the person self-assessing his skills can refer to, in order to envisage what improvement action is needed and possible OPTION B will involve in addition, assigning to each answer a choice of recommended improvement actions, and developing for each one a descriptive fact-sheet Objectives u Management Information Requirement Analysis Our expertise u Deliverables (2 of 4) u Management Information Requirement Analysis Issues we address u Prerequisites u Management Information Requirement Analysis Issues we address u Implementation u Management Information Requirement Analysis Benefits to users u Benefits u Management Information Requirement Analysis Business case u Scoping your need u

5 Action highly critical
CONTENTS CONTENTS Management Information Requirement Analysis Who we are? u Deliverables – Basic rationale of Questionnaires For each skill covered, the person answering the questionnaire is asked to rate His competence Using the following five-position scale: . Not competent . Some competence . Fairly competent . Very competent . Extremely competent The importance of the skill Using the following similar five-position scale: . Not important . Some importance . Fairly important . Very important . Extremely important He does this with reference to his current job, and only for skills he feels are relevant to his current position (leaving other skills blank) By combining answers on both ratings for each skill rated, the system assigns automatically a recommendation as to the criticality of a required action Objectives u Management Information Requirement Analysis Our expertise u Deliverables (3 of 4) u Management Information Requirement Analysis Issues we address u Prerequisites u Management Information Requirement Analysis Issues we address u Implementation u Management Information Requirement Analysis Benefits to users u Benefits u Management Information Requirement Analysis Business case u Scoping your need u Extremely competent + Not important Not competent Extremely important No action needed Action highly critical
