With group chats, you can share messages, photos, and videos with up to 256 people at once. You can also name your group, mute or customize notifications.

Type name here and then add from your contacts, or click on add participants. 5. Once you have added all participants tap on the tick. 6. Start messaging! Send your group a test message.

5 WhatsApp - things to think about
WhatsApp is a great way for agile or disparate teams to re-create the ‘social chatter’, or office banter that can be missing when a team is not based in the same physical location. WhatsApp can be a useful tool for trying to capture the intangible benefits that come from casual conversations over the boiling kettle or on the way to the printer or canteen. WhatsApp is a free way to transmit GIF (picture) files. WhatsApp is a ‘broadcast messaging’ tool – ie one message to many, and can help an agile or virtual team gain a sense of belonging. WhatsApp instant messenger is end to end encrypted. In an emergency you could send more sensitive information via this route.
