Unit A Based on the Indiana State Standards for SAE SAE Unit A

2 Objectives Duty A: Determine the importance of a SAE Program and the benefits that can be obtained. Task 1 Describe SAE Task 2 Indicate reasons for having a SAE program. Task 3 Describe the benefits of a good SAE Task 4 Identify the criteria which must be met to qualify as an SAE program. Don’t write this down This unit will cover several days. You will have worksheets to complete each task in the unit. Keep all worksheets in order in your three ring binder. SAE Unit A

Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Programs consist of planned practical activities conducted outside of class time in which students develop and apply agricultural knowledge and skills. Record keeping tracking achievements over time Improvement Activities improving your work site, home, or community Supplementary Activities agriculture skills developed outside the work place Improvement and Suplementary activities make your SAE more well rounded. SAE Unit A
