3. Attitude in Worship
True Worship is reserved for God alone. True Worship is defined by specific traits. True Worship should be at the center of a Christian's life. Today we look at ONE of the TWO ingredients of True Worship.

John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." Spirit = Proper Attitude Truth = Proper Authority

Why am I here many answer can come to mind? However, what answer should be our true purpose? That is to worship God!

7. Attitude in Worship
Psalm 18:3 - I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised; So shall I be saved from my enemies. Revelation 4:11 - "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."

Matthew 22:37 - Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.‘ John 3:16 - For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

When we have the proper attitude we will… Hear a good message. Feel good. Have fellowship. Enhance our relationship with God. Edify and encourage each other.

When worship is over do we understand what has been done? Do we focus on who did what or what was done? Do we ourselves think about worship?

Singing Ephesians 5:19 - speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, Colossians 3:16 - Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

13. Attitude in Worship
Prayer 1 Corinthians 14:15 - What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. Mark 11:24 - Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

Bible Study Psalm 1:2 - But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. Romans 7:22 - For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

Giving 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 - But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 8:5 - And not only as we had hoped, but they first gave themselves to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.

Lord’s Supper 1 Corinthians 11: For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me." In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."

Lord’s Supper For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes. Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

19. Attitude in Worship
If we act wrong we have VAIN worship. Matthew 15:8 – And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' " Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

20. Attitude in Worship
If we act wrong we will have SPIRITUL SICKNESS. 1 Peter 2:1-2 - Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, You hinder your spiritual growth.

21. Attitude in Worship
If we act wrong we are a POOR INFULENCE. We set a bad example. We distract others from worship. It may even turn visitors away by them thinking we do not take worship seriously.

22. Attitude in Worship
Do not deceive yourself into thinking you can talk, write notes, play around, goof off, during worship. GOD KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE DOING!! Galatians 6:7-8 - Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

23. Attitude in Worship
In order to worship God properly we MUST have these 3 things. Why am I here? – Purpose How can I improve my attitude in worship? – Focus What are the results of my attitude? – Behavior
