1 What is the horror genre?
Horror genre aims to create a sense of fear, panic, alarm, and dread for the audience. These films are often unsettling and rely on scaring the audience through a portrayal of their worst fears and nightmares. Horror films usually cnter on the arrival of an evil force, person, or event.

2 What is mis-en-scene? Mis-en-scene is an expression used to describe the design aspects of a theatre or film production, which essentially means "visual theme" or "telling a story“ both in visually artful ways through storyboarding, cinematography and stage design, and in poetically artful ways through direction. It basically means to put things in place.

3 The conventions of location & settings
Conventions of location and settings consist of things like abandoned warehouses, deserted open land, haunted houses, wooded areas

4 The conventions of objects and props
Conventions of objects and props consist of things like guns, knifes, chainsaws, swords etc. The clothes consist of either shabby clothes or ordinary clothes, it depends when and where the film is filmed. Nearly every movie there is a #1 killing weapon that the perpetrator kills all his victims with.

Conventions of costume and make-up consists of things like pale make-up, shabby clothes, shadowiness around the eyes to give the viewers more of a realistic and scary look almost like they’re pulling them into the film with them.

Conventions of body language in horrors consist of being fearful, panicked, frightened and emotionless, all the things build up to the characters body language.

7 The conventions of lighting
Conventions of lighting in horrors consists of low key lighting and a lot of flashing lights also if gives us the thrill of how the movie is directed and produced because usually the perpetrators are usually hiding in the shadows of the lighting.
