The main objectives involved on the modernization of the city’s public transport system it is to achieve: Better quality service for public transport users. Financial Administrator – Payment System A rechargeable contact less smart card it’s going to be the main access system (cash pay it’s going to be allowed as an exception [higher fare and only on part of the buses]). Different Integrated fares. Local Fare : For local (short distance) trips Inside the local zone. Trunk (Subway) Fare : For trips using only the trunk services and/or the subway. Integrated Fare : For trips that use local and trunk (subway) services (medium or long distances) Students Fare : 35% of adult equivalent fare.
