Envisioned to be an authoritative, real-time portal to enhance disease surveillance by providing comprehensive information to public health reporters about the “who, what, when, where, and how” about reporting.
System will determine routing of messages from provider EHRs based on the rules programmed in RCKMS
“Base rules” included: NND Case definitions default
Jurisdictions can modify based on reporting rules and author rules for state-reportable diseases not on NND list
