Doubt: Finding God in the Dark.

To Doubt: ἀπορέω AV translates as “doubt”, “be perplexed”, and “stand in doubt”. 1. to be without resources, to be in straits, to be left wanting, to be embarrassed, to be in doubt, not to know which way to turn. 2. to be at a loss with one’s self, be in doubt. 3. not to know how to decide or what to do, to be perplexed. James Strong, Enhanced Strong’s Lexicon (Woodside Bible Fellowship, 1995)

Matt. 14:31 (NKJV) And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

John 20:29 (NKJV) Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

2Chronicles 32:31 (NKJV) However, regarding the ambassadors of the princes of Babylon, whom they sent to him to inquire about the wonder that was done in the land, God withdrew from him, in order to test him, that He might know all that was in his heart. Psalm 11:5 (NKJV) The Lord tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.

Matthew 27:46 (NKJV) And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

Jesus knew He was never alone.
John 8:16 (NKJV) And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me. John 8:29 (NKJV) And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him.” John 16:32 (NKJV) Indeed the hour is coming, yes, has now come, that you will be scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

Luke 23:46 (NKJV) And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit. ” Having said this, He breathed His last.
