7 social media Social Media will be a part of the daily work for journalists, e.g. for research, community reasons or/and networking. Tools are twitter, facebook and more. 7

8 multimedia Journalist need be think and work multimedia. Unifying audio, video, text and picture make a great experience for the reader and yourself. Stories never end online. Your heartbeat is online/digital too. 8

9 branding The digital world gives you the chance to develop yourself as a brand. This next to you employers´ brand. Blogging, twitter or facebook might be useful recommendation tools. 9

10 networking and community
Journalists are a part of communities, working in communities is helpful for networking and researching (online and offline). Cooperation with experts, your own or different editorial teams (newsrooms) and users are sometimes great support. 10

11 media technology Media technology is a part of the journalist´s world. Understanding and using new technology makes the daily life easier. But never become a slave of the technology. You are the controller! And filter the overload of information. 11

12 link journalism Internet journalism also means that one should concentrate on the part you can do best, link the rest. 12

13 Journalism needs a business model
Whether you like it or not journalism needs a business model. It is better to understand the business model. 13

14 finally Even technology changes the lives of both journalists and their customers, you as a journalist are in the drivers´ seat. Enjoy the future! 14
