2. Some of you would say; “I know someone who is a Christian that seems to have more Spiritual power than I do?” How many of you would say, “I know someone like that?” Yeah, a lot of us do.
Like when they pray, their prayers sound so powerful, you are thinking maybe if I were God, I would answer their prayers, they just sound powerful! Others, you may be in a conversation with them and they can just kind of quote Bible verses and they seem to know a Bible verse for everything; you’re like, “How do they do that?”
Or, when something happens and something goes wrong, they are not shaken; they seem to have this real, deep Spiritual assurance. You are wondering, how is it that they seem to have more power than I do? You think that they have more ‘power’ than you do.
In reality, I believe there are many people who surrender more to the ‘power’ that is available from God, through the Holy Spirit

Millions of Christians today all over the world take out their conventional SCREW DRIVER – WE ARE GOING TO LIVE THE CHRISTIAN LIFE. In their own strength, they strive and fight and battle and they don’t get very far. WHY?
Because they are trying to live the Christian life in their own strength when there is a far greater power available!!
You can be filled with the powerful Spirit of God and you have the ability to live a supernatural life in a very natural world
Actually The Bible gave us the truth that IN CHRIST, you have access to the very same holy spirit that raised Christ from the grave.

3. 4 On one occasion, while (Jesus) was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit…”8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:4-5, 8   dunamis (doo'-nam-is); a force; a miraculous power, the explosive power of God.
the Greek word translated as ‘baptized’ is the word ‘baptizo’ and this word means to immerse.
This is what Jesus said, he didn’t just say, you are going to be filled with the Holy Spirit; but no, “You are going to be baptizo.” You are going to be filled, overwhelm, overcome. You are going to be immersed in this powerful Holy Spirit.
“But you will receive power. When the Holy Spirit comes and baptizes you, you will receive ‘power’.
This word, ‘power’ comes from the Greek word, ‘dunamis’.
We get our word dynamite, from the word dunamis. It means a force, it means a miraculous power. it means the explosive power of God. When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, it will baptize you; you will have dunamis, the explosive power of God.
Then he says to his disciples, “You are going to be empowered by the Spirit to take my message into all the world.
what’s the big deal about that? Because Jesus was talking to the disciples that keep messing up and always keep doubting, for the last 3 years – Jesus has to keep reminding them.
But NOW - the Holy Spirit came upon very ordinary people and gave them the power to take this message all over the world. That same powerful Spirit is available today to all who believe!
STOP USING THE CONVENTIONAL SCREW DRIVER and start using THE POWER TOOL THAT has been provided by GOD FOR YOU!! (Take out your POWER TOOL)

4. HOLY SPIRIT GIVES YOU THE POWER
TO SHARE CHRIST BOLDLY. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5
After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. Acts 4:31
He said, I am not the most eloquent speaker around, but when you saw me show up, the power of the Holy Spirit was there.
Same like me – I believe I am not the best speaker or the smartest – But God can take what I have and with the Power of the Holy Spirit enable me to communicate the message of Christ to to speak a life giving message.
That is the power of the Holy Spirit

5. HOLY SPIRIT GIVES YOU THE POWER
TO HAVE HOPE, JOY & PEACE IN THE BROKEN WORLD. 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
Let’s talk about Hope a little bit
So many people today have very limited hope. If this water represented hope, this is about all the hope that a lot of people have. They are not overflowing with hope, they have very limited hope. For example, if we put our hope in anything besides God, our hope is going to be limited. If we put our hope in ourselves, we have limited hope. If we put our hope in other people, again, our hope is limited. If we put our hope in our circumstances, our circumstances will only take us so far. Our hope is limited, because it is not put in an unlimited God.
The good news is though, if you put your hope in God, he can cause you to overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. If you are hurting today, if you are afraid, put your hope in God, and let him overflow in your life with joy and hope by the spirit. Let’s say that you lose your job, continue to put your hope in God, and he will be your provider. If you find out that someone you love is sick, continue to put your hope in God and let the Holy Spirit be your healer.
If you find yourself worried about tomorrow, put your hope in God and let the Holy Spirit be your comforter. If you lose someone you love, as much as it hurts, we don’t have to grieve like those who have no hope. We can put our hope in God and the promise of the resurrection and glory eternally in Heaven.
If you are hurting today, put your hope in God. Those who hope in anything else have a limited hope. But, Scripture says this; “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope, by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
If you are hurting today, I pray that that verse becomes so real to you, that even though you don’t see anything that you can have hope in, that you can overflow in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Put your hope in God.

6. HOLY SPIRIT GIVES YOU THE POWER
WHEN YOU ARE WEAK. 26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. Romans 8:26 He who speaks In a tongue edifies himself,… Corinthians 14:4a
Let me take the time to clarify the confusion about The Holy Spirit. Most ppl whenever they heard about a church that was way into the Holy Ghost, they were usually weird.
They Would be slained in the spirit and tambourines everywhere and people speaking in weird languages; that just seemed very foreign, something that I didn’t understand.
But we want to explain to you that those experiences are in fact in the Bible and can happen when the Holy Spirit actually moves. But when you seek those spectacular manifestation or Force the experience then it’s no longer the Holy Spirit but more of Emotional manifestation which actually can be very disturbing.
So I will clarify the confusion, by comparing this with a pendulum swing when it comes to the Holy Spirit.
IN Some places and ministries, there would be some, where the pendulum swings took what I would call an EXTREME-emphasis on the manifestation of the Holy Spirit experience. When it comes to the Holy Ghost, there are some that would actually Extreme -emphasize the Holy Ghost; everything is, Holy Ghost, come, Holy Ghost, Holy Ghost, Holy Ghost! And, if something odd happens, like maybe just a Bible would just fall off a ledge, they might say; “I bind you, demon or SATAN of Bible falling! Holy Ghost, get those demons out of here!” And there is just an extreme-emphasis.
But, what is probably a far more common problem is an under-emphasis. We understand God the Father, and then there is God the Son; and then there is that other guy, the one we don’t talk about, kind of like a weird cousin Eddy, that nobody brings up at family meals. It’s, I don’t understand, I know there is the Trinity and all and I know there is a Holy Spirit. But, when you think about Holy Spirit, it is usually for those weird people over there, and not us; over-emphasis, or under- emphasis.
That’s why we spend so much time in the last few weeks is to get a Biblical understanding on who exactly is the Holy Spirit, and what role does He play in the life of believers.
Now, how does the Holy Spirit help us? It is actually too many ways to count; one of the ways is, he prays for us. The Bible says, “We don’t know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.” The Holy Spirit prays for us when we are weak.

1 Corinthians 14:4a He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself! Basically he is praying! Edifying It is available to us!!
Clarify the confusion that ppl have between 1 Cor 14 and 1 Cor 12
Spiritual gifts are for building up the body (1 Cor. 12), and love must coordinate our expression of spiritual gifts (1 Cor. 13).
Well when the gift of prophecy edifies the whole church, The Personal Speaking in tongues, edifies the speaker (1 Cor. 14:4a) to help you when you are week especially with groans that words cannot express…

7. HOLY SPIRIT GIVES YOU THE POWER
TO PRAY EFFECTIVELY ACCORDING TO GOD’S WILL In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will. Rom 8:26-27

8. TO LIVE A GODLY LIFE.
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. If your sinful nature controls your mind, there is death. But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life and peace. Romans 8:5-6 NLT
Before a person knows Christ, it’s so easy to be dominated by the sinful thoughts. “Go ahead and lose your cool. Go ahead and yell at that person. Go ahead and scream at your kid. Go ahead and think that lustful thought. Go ahead and, and be bitter. Go ahead and be jealous,” because without the Holy Spirit of God, we are vulnerable to the temptation of the evil one. But, when we know Christ, we are filled with His Spirit, and His Spirit gives us power to live a holy life. His Spirit renews our mind, and we start to think about the things that please Him instead of the desires of our fleshly nature. Scripture goes on to say this in verse 6. “If your sinful nature controls your mind, there is death. But if the,” what? Say it aloud again, “But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life and peace.” Will you be controlled by the Spirit, or will you be controlled by your sinful mind? Think about it this way.
Before you are a follower of Christ, sinning can be a lot of fun. It can be a total blast. But once you’re a follower of Jesus filled with the Holy Spirit, sinning is no longer fun. It makes you feel miserable. It makes you feel guilty. You may even want to enjoy it, but all of a sudden, you feel convicted. You feel like, “I shouldn’t be doing this.”
Why? Because the Holy Spirit is giving you the power, convicting you toward living a Godly life. In fact, before you know Christ, it’s almost impossible to step out of some sin.
Why? Because, there’s a battle going on. The forces of darkness against the forces of light. But when you are filled with the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit will show you the way out. There is always a way out of your sin, when you follow the Holy Spirit.
What else does the Holy Spirit do? Galatians 5 says we have fruits of the Spirit. What are they? Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control. These are the fruit of the Spirit. It gives you the power to live a Godly life.

9. I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit
I advise you to live according to your new life in the Holy Spirit. Then you won't be doing what your sinful nature craves. The old sinful nature loves to do evil, which is just opposite from what the Holy Spirit wants…These two forces are constantly fighting each other, and your choices are never free from this conflict. Galatians 5:16-17 NLT
“Live according to your new life In the Holy Spirit, then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.”
It will give you the POWER to Live a GODLY LIFE!!

10. HOLY SPIRIT GIVES YOU THE POWER
TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE WITH SPIRITUAL GIFTS.
God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. Hebrews 2:4
A spiritual gift is given to each of us as a means of helping the entire church. 1 Corinthians 12:7 NLT
The Holy Spirit, when He fills you, He will give you certain spiritual gifts, gifts that you, you don’t have the power to do on your own. They’re from Him. They are directly from God. They are spiritual gifts that will empower you to make a difference in this world.

11. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love. Eph. 3:16-17 Imagine how different our life will be if we live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit.
“Is there more to Christianity? There has got to be more than doing the big-bad stuff and trying to do some good stuff.” The answer is yes, there is! So much more!
There is the reality of the constant presence of God through the Holy Spirit that you can have with you, this peace that surpasses all human ability to understand that you can manifest the fruits of the Spirit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self control;
You can be led by the Spirit and walk by faith and not by sight, that you can have a joy unspeakable, that you can have a supernatural strength.
You can be rooted and established in the very secure love of Christ and you can live a supernatural life in this very natural world. You can never do it by your own strength, but there is another power that is available to you.
Call on him and watch the Holy Spirit fill you, strengthen you, comfort you, guide you, counsel you and be your intercessor, as he empowers you to live the life that you are incapable of living on your own; one that will bring glory and honor to God in Heaven.
