5. Pumpkin Smash for UNICEF
When? TOMORROW from 3:15-4:00 Where? Green Foyer area outside of the chemistry hall How? Purchase a $2 pumpkin from us and smash it with provided baseball bats Credit? 1 physical hour, 1 social credit

6. Lock-In When: Nov. 11-12 from 9pm-6am (Fri-Sat)
Where: Cy-Ranch Commons
How Much: $20 ($15 if your parent chaperones- limited to the first 10 parents)
Hours: 5 PHYSICAL, 2 Possible Donation (if bring breakfast goods),
1 Social
Deadline: Turn in form and bring $ to purchase ticket in room 3006 by Nov. 2nd meeting (or Friday, Nov. 4th)
Join us for a night of scavenger hunt style service, games and pizza dinner! 

7. Happy Holidays Cards
For Who? Military What? Send happy holidays wishes to those fighting for our freedoms! It’s especially difficult for them to be away from their families during this time. These will be sent with our toiletry care packages (doing with Builder’s Club). Include a nice note, picture and sign as “Cy-Ranch Key Clubber” (MUST BE COLORED)

8. Key Club Week (Nov. 7-11)
Monday- Make Someone’s Day Monday (Fulfill a Random Act of Kindness)
Tuesday- Tackle Service Tuesday (sign-up to go to an event, social, donation hour, etc.)
Wednesday- Bake Sale
Thursday- Throwback Thursday (Post a pic from your favorite service event on Facebook and tag us)
Friday/Saturday- Lock In!

When? Nov. 2nd- Nov. 16th What? 1 bag of candy= 1 physical hour (max of 5) Each piece costs $1 (MUST RETURN BAG WITH $15 in it) How? Check Out Bags After Meeting or in Mrs. Vanmiddendorp’s Room After School

10. Donation Drive for Homeless on the Street During Winter
Who? Cy-Fair Helping Hands What? Mosquito Repellant, New or Gently Used Sweatshirts, Jackets, Coats, Gloves, Crew Length or Long Tube Socks, sleeping bags, tents and flashlights Hours? Each Item Is One Donation Hour (max of 5) Where? Bring to Ms. Dosset’s Room When? Deadline is Nov. 18th MUST SIGN IN TO GET CREDIT

11. Extended Canned Food Drive
Wanted to donate canned food but missed the deadline?
We are extending the drive to THIS FRIDAY.
Where? Bring extra canned goods to Room B2020 after school, by THIS FRIDAY
Hours? 5 cans=1 donation hour
What? Help support FCA in their Holiday CAM Food Drive versus Cy-Woods
YOU MUST SIGN-IN WHEN DROPPING OFF TO GET CREDIT

Do you have volunteer hours outside of Key Club? You should work towards…
The Presidential Volunteer Service Award!
Go to presidentialserviceawards.org and make an account and track your hours throughout the entire calendar year! You can include your Key Club hours as well as any outside hours.
50% of your total needed hours should be earned OUTSIDE of our Key Club sign-ups!

14. How To Receive One:
Go to presidentialserviceawards.gov
Click on the Get Involved Tab and then click on the Volunteers link
As you scroll down, on the right (under a picture), there is a REGISTER Button. Click on that.
Complete the form accurately and click submit application
After filling out the form, you will see a page that has three buttons (My Profile, My Service, and Share Your Story).
Update your profile information if needed
Click on the My Service Tab and fill out all the service activities you have completed.
Print out the page and bring it to Mrs. Garcia, 3006, with $5.00 by DEC. 16TH (JAN. 3RD if volunteering over break)

15. You joined Key Club… now what?
You need…
service hours (10 of which much be physical)
2. 2 social credits
3. Have missed 2 or less meetings throughout the semester ( 1st and 3rd Wed. either 6:35 or 2:40)
Your hours/social credits start over every semester!
*If you didn’t meet these requirements, you are considered an inactive member and the semester will not count for you.

16. REMEMBER!
The only way to earn your credit for Key Club volunteer hours and social credits is to volunteer at/attend events offered by our Key Club!

17. How do I get my hours?
Make an account on the website! Under “Find A Sign Up” Search: Use this website throughout the year in order to sign up for volunteer opportunities! Also, constantly be checking your , FB page, our website and Remind101 for alerts on new events!

18. BRING YOUR SERVICE CARDS!
If you do not have your service card with you at the meeting YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT FOR YOUR ATTENDANCE!
The little dates on the back are to be stamped by our officers 
If you need your service card signed for an event or social you volunteered at/attended, fill out the date, event name, number of hours, etc. and THEN the president, vps, or supervisors will sign it for you!
