1 Welcome Key Clubbers!

2 The Key Club Pledge I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school and community; to serve my nation and God; and combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

3 REMEMBER! The only way to earn your credit for Key Club volunteer hours and social credits is to volunteer at/attend events offered by our Key Club! YOU NEED: -15 total hours -10 physical hours MINIMUN -2 social credits -2 meetings a semester (1 st meeting does not count!)

4 REMEMBER! The strike system is in place this year! Threeeee strikes and yerrrrrr out! If you receive three strikes, your semester hours cease to count and you will not be considered a member. You must sign up again in the spring (beginning of next semster) STRIKES INCLUDE: -Not meeting card requirements -Missing more than two meetings unless discussed -Not attending an event you signed up for -Misconduct at an event or meeting

5 Social Time!! Chick-fil-a Home of the Waffle fries!! Location: 290 and Spring Cypress Date and time: This Thurs, Nov.19 th 4pm-8pm Just say that you are a part of Cypress Ranch Key Club! The proceeds for this social will go to the Children’s Miracle Network! There are no excuses as to not having your social completed!

9 Presidential service award Description: The Presidential Service Award is an opportunity to help out in your community and be nationally recognized. You can include both Key Club and non-Key Club hours in the log for this award. You qualify for the lowest age group you were in any time of the CALENDAR YEAR. Kids (5-10) B-26 – 49 S-50 – 74 G-75 + Teens (11–15) 50 – 7475 – 99100 + Young Adults (16-25) 100 – 174 175 – 249 250 + Families and Groups* 200 – 499 500 – 999 1,000+ * Two or more people, with each member contributing at least 25 hours toward the total

10 Instructions 1) Create an account with the following (use account from last year if you already made/have one) a) Go to “Get Involved”. b) Click “Volunteers”. c) Scroll to the bottom and click “Register”. d) Fill in the information and make an account. 2) Put in our club code as seen on the presidential log sheet posted on our website 3) Fill in your hours. 4) Print out your hour log and then highlight the total number of hours at the bottom. Then, turn it in to Ms. Garcia’s room before or after school with $5.

11 Do you have volunteer hours outside of Key Club? You should work towards… The Presidential Volunteer Service Award! Go to presidentialserviceawards.org and make an account and track your hours throughout the entire calendar year! You can include your Key Club hours as well as any outside hours. We will give you more information as the semester comes to an end!

12 Donation Drives Item Drive We will be collecting one yard of fleece. Pattern doesn’t matter as long as its school appropriate! We are going to make blankets for hospital patients. 1 yard is 1 donation! Participate in Donation opportunities for donation hours (up to 5). Please drop off all donations at meetings or Monday after school in Ms. Garcia’s room 3006 We are STILL collecting cotton shirts. Pattern doesn’t matter as long as its school appropriate! MUST BE COTTON 1 shirt is 1 donation!

13 Need more donation hours? Coke Tabs! Bring in soda can tabs to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. 1 FULL Ziploc bag = 1 donation hour Walmart Gift Cards! Key Club uses Walmart giftcards throughout the year for various occasions. Every $5 = 1 donation hour Need!

14 Miracle Minute Both the morning and afternoon meetings combined raised a total of $130.37 in (technically two) minute(s)!!!! That’s is amazing! All that money is going to Eliminate, saving roughly 72 women and children. Around one person every TWO SECONDS.
