2. Chapter 1 Bruno Mars – when I was your man
I choose because it is an opening for a story. It reminds me of when Gatsby and daisy was a couple she has a husband and Gatsby is sad and wishes he was still together with her. “ I hope he buys you flowers, “I hope he holds your hand, take you to every party …when I was your man” is an example from the song.

3. Chapter 2 Beat you down, Romain Virgo
I Choose this song because this is the chapter where tom hits myrtle because she kept saying his wife's name. in the end he ends up breaking her nose. This song is basically saying don’t let any man put their hands on you. In this case it would be directed to tom and when he hit myrtle.

4. Chapter 3 Party Shot, Popcaan
In this chapter Gatsby had a big party. He invited everyone and tons of people came. The song describes the artist and is basically saying there going to be a good party, everyone's going to be there, like Gatsby's party.

5. Chapter 4 Chamillionare – riding dirty
I Choose this song for this chapter because this is when gatsby was speeding through the city. He got pulled over by a cop and received a ticket. This song is good for this chapter because it’s about a man and how the police is always trying to catch him doing something wrong and how he’s running from the police.

6. Chapter 5
Power Trip- J Cole I choose this song because it describes the reunion of Gatsby and daisy. There is a specific line in the song that states “would you believe me if I said I was in love, I want you to want me”. This describes the love Gatsby has for daisy and how he wants her to love him. Another one would be “got me up all night all is singing is love songs”. This is just explaining more of how much Gatsby thinks of daisy.

7. Chapter 6 Thinking bout you, frank ocean
I choose this song for this chapter because I felt it described the situation. This is when we find out that Gatsby bought the house across the bay so he could be closer to Gatsby. A line from the song This just shows he was thinking about her all these years.

8. Chapter 7 Maroon 5- sad- overexposed
This is the chapter when myrtle got killed. I feel like this is a sad song and it would fit the scene “ I never gave you the things that you needed to have, I'm so sad”. “I'm scared today that there might not be another one like this”. These two quotes would reflect on how myrtles husband Mr. Wilson did for fill her needs and how he was scared she would leave him.

9. Chapter 8 Amazing Grace – chris tomlin
This is the chapter where Gatsby and Mr. Wilson died. Mr. Wilson shot Gatsby because he thought he killed his wife myrtle. After he shot himself and dies. This is just a sad chapter and I believe amazing grace is a good pick. This is something you would hear at a funeral or when someone pasts.

10. Chapter 9 Jah vinvci – watch yuh friends
This is the part where nick tries to hold a big funeral for Gatsby after his death. He notices that he cannot contact anyone or get them to come. This just shows that people who you think are your friends are not. In this case there were lots of people who came to Gatsby's party’s and had a good time but no one wanted to attend his funeral.
