What does it mean that there would be a time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation? Daniel12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up … and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation (Armageddon)… Nations were formed following the tower of Babel (Gen. 10; 11:6) and therefore the time of the Flood isn't included. It shows how severe "Armageddon" will be. (Zech. 13:8 says 2/3 of Israel destroyed.)

Daniel12:1 And at that time shall Michael stand up … and at that time (Armageddon) thy people (Jews) shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake … This figurative book lists those who God has called. The context is Israel (“thy people” - Jews) and the deliverance is at Armageddon. V.2 The timing includes also those that sleep (dead) therefore verses 2&3 also includes the resurrection to come providing details of the three classes of people including those who are wise and those not.
