Started from the Finance One City Core Team – HPO focus
Traction lost on moving the department forward
Expanded team attended UW sponsored Lean & Beyond conference
Post conference: The team was re-energized with a renewed interest in continuous improvement/LEAN

3. How did we choose the projects?
LEAN team brainstormed areas for improvement
Ideas ranked based on size, complexity, and best bang for the buck
Had enough members for 2 groups - assigned the top 2 ideas to the 2 groups – twice the learning and fun!
