Develop project architectures for ITS deployments, pilots, and test beds
This training was developed using SET-IT Version 8.0. SET-IT is regularly updated so additional functionality will be added in future versions. While the development team will make every effort to maintain compatibility between versions, it is possible that a future version will not be 100% compatible.

Requirements for SET-IT
Microsoft Visio 2010 or higher (32-bit only)
Supports interface and functions for diagram development and tailoring
Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft Excel
Supports document and tabular output functions
To use SET-IT, a copy of Microsoft Visio 2010 or higher (a 32-bit version) is required to support diagram tailoring. In order to utilize the tabular output functions in SET-IT, a copy of Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft Excel is required.

Create physical, enterprise, & communications views of an ITS architecture based upon ARC-IT
Create physical, enterprise, & comm diagrams
Copy and customize ITS Service Packages from ARC-IT
Output diagrams and tables of architecture components
Create a concept of operations document for a project
SET-IT also includes the ability to create a concept of operations document for a project. The document is based upon a standard template for a concept of operations and SET-IT allows you to modify the template as well as generate content from the physical and enterprise view diagrams and tables.

SET-IT File: *.setit = SET-IT file Database: *.sad = Microsoft Access database Drawing files: *.svd = Visio drawing files *.vsd = Visio drawing files
SET-IT stores information in several files. The SET-IT file has the extension .setit. Information is also stored in a Microsoft Access database with the extension .sad. Information for the various diagrams is stored in files with the extension .svd and .vsd.
