1 Introduction The Custom Store Groups folders and functions allows you to create, modify and use store accounts of specific interest to you or your team and use them in targeted reporting. This allows multiple reports to pull the same set of stores as its source. Thus, only the store groups need to be maintained. The “Custom Store Groups” folder contains the reports used in custom store group reporting. Reports without the prefix, “My,” are used with Public store groups. Reports with the prefix, “My,” are used with Private store groups. The creation and maintenance of the custom store groups can be found in the “Manage Store Groups” folder under the “Custom Store Groups” folder.

2 Managing Store Groups There are three report options to create or add to an existing store group: Create/Edit Store Group – Geography – report located in the Manage Store Groups folder Manage store groups using geography filters Create/Edit Store Group - Import – report located in the Manage Store Groups folder Import TDLinx#’s from a file or enter TDLinx#’s free form Create/Edit Store Group – from any store level report Manage store groups from any store level report displaying Store ID’s Standard across these report options: Create a new custom store group Add to an existing store group Other reports offered in the Manage Store Groups folder to assist in store groups management: My Store Groups report Lists stores that comprise your custom store groups This report also offers a way to delete individual stores from your custom store group. Public Store Groups Lists stores that comprise public store groups, created by any user Store Group Delete Delete whole custom store groups originally created by you.

3 Create/Edit Store Group Geography
The Create/Edit Store Group Geography report allows you to create a list of store accounts using geography filters. This report uses a geography prompt, which offers a filter by State, DMA, Store Name, Zip Code or other geography levels. The second prompt, “Store Display Attributes,” are strictly related to how the view the report. These attributes will not be saved to the store group generated. Using the report listing generated, create a new store group or add the accounts to an existing store group by: Right-clicking on the Store Name column to drill to add every store in the list OR …

… to refine further by highlighting and selecting specific rows, then right-clicking on the Store Name column to drill to add.

5 Create/Edit Custom Store Groups – Import
The Create/Edit Store Group – Import report allows you to upload directly into this report a .TXT file stored locally that has listed TDLinx #’s. There is a distinct format to this .TXT file. First, it uses TDLinx #’s and not store id’s. Note also that this list does not have punctuation (commas, quotes). TDLinx #’s DO NOT have the “TDL” prefix. (Store id’s have “TDL,” “SEC” or other prefix.) NOTE: THE LIMIT FOR IMPORTING THROUGH A TEXT FILE IMPORT IS 2,925 #’S. To easily separate the TDLinx # from its prefix, use this Excel template found under Aperity portal’s User Guide. Paste the TDLinx #’s in Column A. The template will automatically strip the prefix off and put the result into Colum B. Copy from Column B into a text editor and create the file for use in the Aperity Create/Edit Store Group – Import report.
