3 Math Need 3.0 math credits in high school,
middle school math does not count Geometry Alg II A or B in Alg II Precalculus, Math Studies IBSL, or AP Statistics C or D in Alg II Alg III Alg III Precalculus or AP Statistics PreCalc AP Calculus, IBSL Calc or AP Statistics Current math teacher will sign your form Review your AP Potential Letter!

4 Science Physics I or AP Physics I is the recommended science for junior year. If not taking Physics, you should consider taking an AP science: AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, or Sports Exercise IBSL. Check your AP Potential letter! If you failed a semester of chemistry, you must take Physics or Forensics to get your required “physical science” credit for graduation. Other “core” science choices include Anatomy/Physiology and Ecology/Zoology.

5 Social Studies World History AP US History or US History 1878 to Present. AP US History rd Social Studies Core class Social Studies Graduation requirements changed beginning with the class of World History is no longer a required course; however, a minimum of 3.0 “core” credits are still required. BTW students should take a SS course every year, core &/or elective.

6 Social Studies, cont’d Social Studies core class selections include:
African American Studies Economics/Macro Economics AP Economics IBSL History Of the Americas IBHL History Of Europe IBHL History of SE Asia & Oceania IBHL Human Geography AP (new course offering) World History AP World History IBSL World History Survey All other Social Studies offerings count as elective credit.

7 World Language Required to have 2 credits of the same language
If you failed a semester, you must take 2 years of different language or take 2 technology credits in place of world language Many colleges require 3 years of world language for admission. Level III and higher of world language receive weighted credit. IB Candidates need 4 years of a language

8 Fine Arts 1.0 credit required for graduation
(previously 2.0 credits were required) IB Diploma candidates may waive this requirement; however, IB Diploma candidates who are OK Promise applicants can NOT waive this credit. Review your AP Potential letter!

9 Electives Minimum of 5 electives required for graduation.
Electives can be any type of credit, including extra classes in fine arts, math, science, world language, etc. Classes at Tulsa Tech count as elective credit except for some engineering classes and embedded credits. If you have applied to Tulsa Tech or plan to do Concurrent Enrollment, you must still submit a schedule with 7 classes. If accepted to Tulsa Tech, meet with your counselor to be sure your graduation requirements can be met in the limited hours you are at BTW. You must be on track to graduate to be approved for Tulsa Tech or Concurrent Enrollment. Must have a 21 ACT or 980 SAT for Concurrent Enrollment

10 Important Information
If you fail a class this year, see your counselor for advisement. TPS will offer free summer school – information will be provided at a later date Tulsa Tech Success Center offers a variety of Credit Recovery courses over the summer. TTC requires a counselor signed application for enrollment. Cost between $25.00 – Need 12 credits by August to be classified as a junior. Stay with your cohort!!!!!!!!!!!

11 Important Information (cont’d)
If you plan to do Concurrent enrollment this summer or during your junior year, you need to meet with your counselor to apply. If you wish to graduate early, you must meet with your counselor to set up a plan. Hint: You must have earned a minimum of 1.0 High School credit in middle school and be able to complete English III over summer 2017.

12 Enrollment Process Your completed enrollment packet must be in your possession when you come to the computer lab to enroll online. You will not be allowed to enroll online without it. MUST SELECT ALTERNATES!!!!!!!!!! Parent signature must be on your enrollment form and the AP/IB contract (if you are requesting any AP or IB courses.) Review your AP Potential Letter! Schedule changes will not be permitted in the fall if you get the classes you request at pre-enrollment. Classes are year long. CHOOSE WISELY!
