He was born to a Quaker father and Anglican mother

Thomas Paine was an inventor, writer and philanthropist
He and his father were stay/corset makers
A tobacconist, grocer, exciseman, and school teacher
Never exceled in any job; failed at most of his jobs
When he first moved to Philadelphia he worked for the “Pennsylvania Magazine”

Paine was married twice to Elizabeth Ollive and Mary Lambert
Mary Lambert and her child died during childbirth
Married Elizabeth in 1771, then separated in 1774

Thomas Paine’s remains were buried and dug up to be moved to England but the plan fell threw. To this day no one knows where his remains are.
He was appointed many political positions but had a bad temper and used his privileges incorrectly.
After writing Rights of Man, he was charged with treason and went to France and became a citizen
Paine was imprisoned for protesting the execution of Louis XVI
