9. Technical facts What is S.Café?
S.Café is a composite fiber made of polyester and coffee grounds. The coffee grounds are permanently embedded into the fiber structure and cannot be washed out.
Where do the coffee grounds come from?
At first, coffee grounds were collected from coffee shops and colleagues’ houses. When demand grew, more and more coffee grounds were sourced from coffee factories.

10. Why don’t I smell anything in S.Café fabrics?
Before coffee beans can be used to make coffee, the green beans expand and release their aromas. Before the coffee grounds are turned into S.Café yarns and fibers, all phenol, ester and oils are extracted. This makes S.Café odorless.
S.Café fibers and yarns provide excellent UV protection. And the permeable structure of coffee grounds traps odors. This makes S.Café an ideal candidate for odor control solutions.
