5 Where We’ve Been Puget Sound Starts Here provides a uniting brand and regional support for local recovery efforts PSP and the NPDES stormwater municipalities launched the original effort in 2009, with funding from Ecology and PSP The campaign has grown to cover the 12-county Puget Sound region ECO Network, cities, counties, local organizations, and state agencies now work collaboratively to deliver coordinated messages to the region’s 4.5 million residents Brand recognition has grown from zero to 26% of the public  EPA is now a funder/participant

6 Phase 2 Goals Rekindle an emotional connection between area residents and Puget Sound Increase PSSH brand awareness from 26% to 50% Position PSSH as a connector for residents to a healthy Puget Sound Reinforce the “umbrella” PSSH brand to unite the regional and local efforts of partner organizations

7 Regional Approach Multi-media approach: digital ads, website, social media A mosaic of ever-changing content – videos, articles, feature stories, graphics Equally available on all digital media – computers, smartphones, tablets Celebrates why life in Puget Sound is so special Some content designed to engage residents and keep them coming back; some covers information residents need to take action

Our active lifestyle – Puget Sound is a playground, where we fish, hunt, crab, boat, water ski, row, swim, whale watch, beach- comb, hike, bike, run, garden, do yoga – among other activities. Thriving industry – Puget Sound is one marketplace, supporting commercial fishing, millions of tourists and shipping containers through the ports. Natural beauty – Puget Sound is a canvas for picturesque backdrops, majestic sunsets, and hundreds of living plants and animals.
