They don’t seem to spend much time studying Confidence They start revising too late They don’t know where to start Lack of resilience Time management is poor They go out with their friends too much Procrastination They are always on social media (#1)

3 7 Ways to Motivate Teenagers
What’s is in it for me? Let them have a say Let them learn from failure Help them to remember Make it achievable Provide incentives Make it fun!

4 Conversations with choice
Identify the ‘things’ that cause issues e.g. school bag not ready in the morning, can’t find their shoes, no time for breakfast Discuss 3 possible solutions to each issue Choose 1 solution that your child thinks will work best for them Repeat with a different solution if the first one doesn’t work (sorry, this might happen!)
