2 He, she, I, we, you, it, they Personal Pronouns
Pronouns literally take the place of a noun. John took book to the Media Center. John’s his Personal Pronouns He, she, I, we, you, it, they Once you know these you know possessive and objective pronouns.

3 Objective Pronouns Take the personal pronouns and put a preposition in front of it. Object of the preposition. Objective form – get it? It is for he him It is for she her It is for I me It is for we us It is for you you It is for it it It is for they them

4 Possessive Pronouns MINE MINE MINE It belongs to he It is his
Possessive shows possession (DUH!) Take the personal pronouns and add “it belongs to” before it for the possessive form. It belongs to he It is his It belongs to she It is her(s) It belongs to I It is my/mine It belongs to we It is our(s) It belongs to you It is your(s) It belongs to it It is its (no ') It belongs to they It is their(s) MINE MINE MINE

5 Reflexive Pronouns myself itself yourself ourselves himself yourselves
Reflexive sounds like reflection.  Reflexive pronouns includes self. myself itself yourself ourselves himself yourselves herself themselves

6 The same words as reflexive
INTENSIVE PRONOUNS The same words as reflexive Emphasizes (intensifies) a noun or another pronoun and must be directly after what is refers to. She herself will go to the bank. He himself must make that choice.

7 Indefinite Pronouns Indefinite pronouns are non-specific. If I say no one is here, I could mean no one in class, or no one in school, or no one in the city, or no one in the state, or no one in the country . . . all most another much both neither each none either one few other many several more some All of these are singular -body -one -thing any anybody anyone anything every everybody everyone everything no nobody no one nothing some somebody someone something

8 ANTECEDENTS The noun that the pronoun is referring to. A common mistake in writing is to use a pronoun that is confusing to the reader. Evan and Joe were walking home, but he got tired and had to sit down. Which he? Evan or Joe?
