Indicator of potential performance on the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). Reported as making progress toward either Bronze, Silver, or Gold level. There is no Platinum. Score report includes a website that includes more information about NCRC.

WorkKeys provides important information Studies show that occupations requiring higher skills in math, locating information, and reading pay higher entry-level salaries. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, more than 1.5 million students leave high school each year inadequately trained for even entry-level jobs. Because WorkKeys measures skills valued by employers, students can use their results to get a better picture of their chances for success in the workforce and to improve areas where their skills are weak. Schools can use the information—along with input from employers—to ensure that their courses of study provide adequate work skills training to meet the needs of businesses.

NCRC Assessments Applied Mathematics Locating Information Reading for Information 80% of profiled jobs utilize all of these skills Applied Mathematics, Locating Information, and Reading for Information are the three tests that comprise the National Career Readiness Certificate. Out of more than 5,000 jobs profiled in the JobPro database, 80 percent of those jobs utilize these three skills. Numbers are based on analysis of 5,130 jobs profiled from 2007 to 2011 in the ACT JobPro database.
