1 Two Resurrections and One Judge
Gospel of John Series #19 Grace Baptist Church 2/12/17 AM

2 In John Chapter 5 we have seen that:
Christ did ministry that was … Immediate – 5:1,2 Immense – 5:3-5 Impossible – 5:6-13 Impeccable – 5:14-18 Christ defended His deity … In His Nature – 5:17,18 In His Actions – 5:19,20 In His Authority – 5:20,21 In His Judgment – 5:22 In His Honor – 5:23,24

3 The statements of the Lord Jesus about Himself confront everyone…
Forcing all to make a decision either for or against Him. There is no neutral ground. Either you accept Him as your Lord God and Savior, or reject Him claiming that He was some great teacher or even a liar. Accept Him as God in human flesh and be saved from your sins through Him. Admit Him as anything but who He says He is, and one day you will face His judgment. Either you will believe, escape judgment, and be raised to enjoy eternal life, or you will reject Him and be raised to experience judgment and eternal punishment. Consider the next few verses and think with me about the subject of the resurrection and judgment.

4 John 5:25-29 25 ¶ "Most assuredly (truly, truly), I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. 26 "For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 "and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 "and come forth -- those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.

5 Notice the Judge and the 2 Resurrections in this passage.

6 Is He your Savior or your Judge?
There is therefore now NO condemnation to those who are IN Christ Jesus… Romans 8:1 Will you be raised to enter eternal life and experience great joy… Or will you be raised to stand at the White Throne Judgment and… Revelation 20:11-15; 21:8 John 3:36 and John 5:24
