They didn’t fear God God did not have to specifically forbid something for it to be wrong Men thought they could improve upon God’s ideas None were accepted by God How do we know what God wants? Worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23) God’s word is truth (John 17:17)

“this commandment… is not too hard for you” “you can do it” We’re in the kingdom purchased by Christ’s blood! (Acts 20:28) “Let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire” (Heb. 12:28-29)
